GILBERT K. MIESNER

ALTENBURG -- Gilbert K. Miesner, 80, of Altenburg died Wednesday, Nov. 16, 1994, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau. He was born Sept. 14, 1914, at Gorham, Ill., the son of Frederick and Christiane Schlichting Miesner. On Feb. 26, 1938, he married Ruth Heins, who survives of the home. ALTENBURG -- Gilbert K. Miesner, 80, of Altenburg died Wednesday, Nov. 16, 1994, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

He was born Sept. 14, 1914, at Gorham, Ill., the son of Frederick and Christiane Schlichting Miesner.

On Feb. 26, 1938, he married Ruth Heins, who survives of the home. A retired farmer, he was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Altenburg.

Other survivors are two sons, Arlan Miesner of Oregon and Russell Miesner of Altenburg; three brothers, Leo and Leonard Miesner, both of St. Louis, and Clarence Miesner of Perryville; a sister, Esther Koenig of Ste. Genevieve; and five grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a sister.

Friends may call from 5 to 9 p.m. Friday at Young & Sons East Perry Chapel in Altenburg and from 6:30 to 9 a.m. Saturday.

Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Trinity Lutheran Church in Altenburg. The Rev. Charles Weber will officiate, and burial will be in the church cemetery.
