GILBERT A. WELTER

CHAFFEE -- Funeral mass for Gilbert Anton Welter of Maryland Heights, formerly of Chaffee Route 1, was held Tuesday at St. Blase Catholic Church in Maryland Heights. Burial was in Calvary Catholic Cemetery in St. Louis.

Collier Funeral Home in Maryland Heights was in charge of arrangements.

Welter, 66, died Sunday, Jan. 21, 1996, at DePaul Hospital in St. Louis.

He was born March 23, 1929, at New Hamburg, son of Joseph N. and Colleta Beaudendistel Welter. He and Evelyn Dent were married Oct. 18, 1952.

Welter was retired from McDonnell Douglas in St. Louis. He was a member of St. Blase Church.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, David Welter of Troy, Roger Welter of Overland; two daughters, Janet and Ruth Welter of Maryland Heights; three sisters, Marina Klipfel, Chaffee Route 1, Elfrieda Sager of Dallas, Texas, Dorothy Dent of Maryland Heights, and three grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a brother and sister.
