PERRYVILLE -- Gilbert A. Pingel, 78, died Friday, Sept. 8, 1995, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau,
He was born July 26, 1917, in Biehle, son of William Pingel and Dora Schemel Pingel.
He married Irma Thiret Oct. 2, 1937, at Perryville. She survives.
Pingel, former owner of Pingel Inc. of Longtown, had been a self-employed truck body manufacturer.
Survivors include three sons, Harold Pingel of Town and Country, Mo., and Gerlad Pingel and Carl Pingel, both of Perryville; two daughters, Helen Gibbar of Perryville and Virginia Bucek of Arlington, Texas; two sisters, Irene Stortz of Perryville and Zita Conigilo of Bradenton, Fla.; and eight grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by three brothers.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the Miller Family Home Chapel in Perryville. A wake service will be held at the funeral home at 7 p.m. today.
Service will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the funeral home chapel, with the Rev. Kevin Fausz officiating. Burial will be in Home Cemetery at Perryville.
