WOLF LAKE, Ill. -- Funeral service for Gertrude C. Vincent of Wolf Lake will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at Hileman and Parr Funeral Home in Jonesboro. The Rev. Raymond Oxford will officiate, with burial in Beech Grove Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 6-9 p.m. today.
Vincent, 92, died Monday, May 13, 1996, at City Care Center in Cobden.
She was born Feb. 11, 1904, in Mexico, Mo., daughter of Henry and Mary Susan Beard Rosenthal. She and John W. Vincent were married Dec. 24, 1925, in Jonesboro. He preceded her in death.
Vincent had been a cook, seamstress, and was employed at Shawnee School many years. She was a member of Galilee Baptist Church.
Survivors include three sons, John Vincent Jr. of Muncie, Ind., Billy and Wayne Vincent of Anna; a daughter, Mary Ann Barnett of Cypress; a brother, George Rosenthal of Kansas City; eight grandchildren, and 14 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by an infant son.
