PERRYVILLE -- Gertrude M. Weiss, 83, of Perryville died Tuesday, Dec. 31, 1996, at PerryOaks Healthcare. She was born July 29, 1913, in Perry County, daughter of Henry and Julia Taylor Grass. On Sept. 15, 1935, she married Clyde B. Weiss, who died 20, 1991...

PERRYVILLE -- Gertrude M. Weiss, 83, of Perryville died Tuesday, Dec. 31, 1996, at PerryOaks Healthcare.

She was born July 29, 1913, in Perry County, daughter of Henry and Julia Taylor Grass. On Sept. 15, 1935, she married Clyde B. Weiss, who died 20, 1991.

She worked until retirement at the International Shoe Co. in Perryville. She was a member of Lithium Baptist Church and an active worker in the Republican Party.

She is survived by two sisters, Cecelia Erwin and Pearl Zahner of Perryville.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death three siblings.

Friends may call at Young and Sons Chapel in Perryville Friday from 4 p.m. until 9 p.m. and Saturday from 6:30 a.m. until 8:30 a.m.

Funeral service will be at Lithium Baptist Church at 10:30 a.m. Saturday with the Rev. Gerold McBride officiating. Burial will be in Home Cemetery.
