PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Gertrude Lillian Hacker, 96, of Perryville died Sunday, Oct. 23, 2011, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau. She was born July 6, 1915, in Brazeau, Mo., daughter of Phillip and Martha Bock Weinhold. She and Elmer Julius Hacker were married Nov. 23, 1941. He preceded her in death April 13, 1987...

PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Gertrude Lillian Hacker, 96, of Perryville died Sunday, Oct. 23, 2011, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.

She was born July 6, 1915, in Brazeau, Mo., daughter of Phillip and Martha Bock Weinhold. She and Elmer Julius Hacker were married Nov. 23, 1941. He preceded her in death April 13, 1987.

Mrs. Hacker was a member of Zion Lutheran Church and Ladies Aid in Crosstown, Mo.

Survivors include two sons, Earl William (Delores) Hacker of Uniontown, Mo., Norman Paul (Cathy) Hacker of Perryville; a daughter, Dorothy Eileen (Dean) Berkbigler of Perryville; a sister, Irene Gerdes of Washington, Mo.; seven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; seven brothers, Walter, Charles, William, Oscar, Adolph, Benjamin and Elmer Weinhold; three sisters, Ada Kaufman, Esther Grebing and Hattie Blum.

Friends may call at Young and Sons Funeral Home from 4 to 8 p.m. today and from 6:30 to 8 a.m. Wednesday.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Zion Lutheran Church in Crosstown, with the Rev. Roger Abernathy officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Memorials are preferred to Lutheran Hour, Zion Lutheran Church or Cemetery in Crosstown or KFUO.
