ALTO PASS, Ill. -- Gertrude B. Fear, 87, of Alto Pass died Tuesday, Sept. 2, 1997, at Union County Hospital in Anna.
She was born March 26, 1910, in Hannibal, Mo., daughter of William S. and Jessie Mitchell Hoke. She and David Loren Fear were married June 2, 1934, in Dongola.
Fear was a member of the Christian Church in Anna.
Survivors include her husband; a son, David Fear Jr. of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; a daughter, Anita Cannon of St. Louis, Mo.; a brother, George Hoke of Little Rock, Ark.; a sister, Grace Gentry of Dillon, S.C.; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Friends may call at Lutz and Rendleman Funeral Home in Alto Pass from 6-8:30 p.m. today.
Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Charles Mitchell officiating. Burial will be in Casper Cemetery.
