SIKESTON -- Gertrude Crawford, 74, of Chicago, Ill., formerly of Sikeston, died Monday, Oct. 5, 1992, at St. Mary's of Nazareth Hospital in Chicago.
She was born March 26, 1918, in Selmar, Tenn., daughter of Ed and Annie Jones White. She and Joe Surratt were married in 1939 in Selmar. He preceded her in death.
Crawford had been a waitress at J&B Snack Shop in Chicago.
Survivors include a son, Terry Surratt of Germantown, Tenn.; a daughter, Jessie McArtor of Hoffman Estates, Ill.; three brothers, Luther Wyatt of Alderpoint, Calif., R.L. Wyatt of Eloy, Ariz., Arnold Wyatt of Safford, Ariz.; four sisters, Lucile Senciboy of Perkins, Merline Whorton of Chaffee, Myrtle Driskill of Dexter, Helean Baccus of Sikeston; four grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, four brothers and two sisters.
Funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Sikeston. Cline Ables will officiate, with burial in Dogwood Cemetery at East Prairie.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 5 p.m. today.
