JACKSON -- Geraldine M. "Gerry" Pittman, 68, of Poplar Bluff, died Tuesday, June 1, 1993, at Methodist Central Hospital in Memphis, Tenn.
She was born Sept. 11, 1924, at Jackson, and was formerly of Cape Girardeau. She married M.R. Pittman May 11, 1947, in Piggott, Ark.
Pittman was a retired nurse from Lucy Lee Hospital and the former Poplar Bluff Hospital. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Poplar Bluff, Ladies Auxiliary Transportation Union and American War Mothers.
Survivors include her husband; four sons, Ralph Pittman of Sedgewickville, Billy Pittman of Jackson, Bruce and Michael Pittman of Poplar Bluff; a sister, Emma Sides of Cape Girardeau; nine grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a brother.
Funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday at First Baptist Church in Poplar Bluff. The Rev. John Gilbert will officiate, with burial in Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Poplar Bluff.
Friends may call at Cotrell Funeral Home in Poplar Bluff after 6 p.m. Thursday.
