Geraldine J. Brennecke, 78, of Jackson, passed away Saturday, Oct. 6, 2007, at Jackson Manor Nursing Home in Jackson.
She was born June 1, 1929, in Cape Girardeau, daughter of John and Jeanette Goza Kuehn. She and Howard D. Brennecke were married March 11, 1948. He passed away March 15, 2005.
Geraldine worked at the former Jackson International Shoe Co., Lenco, former Lix Nursery at Scopus, Mo., and helped harvest vegetables for Pioneer Orchard. She was a member of United Church of God for 47 years. She especially enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Loving survivors include a son, Roger (Stacy) Brennecke of Kansas City, Mo.; three daughters, Brenda (Larry) Wilcox of Springfield, Mo., Rhonda (Clint) Hornbuckle of Fulton, Mo., Anita (Kevin) Vanover of Sikeston, Mo.; two brothers, Jack Kuehn of Cape Girardeau, Tom Kuehn of Jackson; two sisters, Katie Gibbar of Jackson and Helen Felty of Cape Girardeau.
Also surviving are nine grandchildren; a great-grandson; and five step-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband; a daughter, Greta Gillam; four brothers and three sisters.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday, Oct. 8, 2007, at McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson.
Funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m Tuesday, Oct. 9, 2007, at the funeral home, with Carl Hoffman and Neil Kiensey officiating.
Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery in Millersville.
