EAST PRAIRIE -- Geraldine Lucille Abner, 78, of East Prairie died Tuesday, Nov. 9, 1999, at her home.
She was born Feb. 15, 1921, in East Prairie, daughter of John R. and Lottie Oliver Poole. She and Charles Abner were married March 26, 1967.
Abner lived in East Prairie most of her life. She was retired from Brown Shoe Co. in Charleston, and attended First Assembly of God Church in East Prairie.
Survivors include three sons, Dallas Hinshaw and Shelby Jones of Sikeston, Travis Poole of Florida; two daughters, Carolyn Henry of East Prairie, Sheila Abner of East Lansing, Mich.; three brothers, Donald Poole of Ohio, Bill Poole of Kansas City, Gene Poole of New Orleans, La.; two sisters, Alice Gordon of New Orleans, Glenda Temple of Minneapolis, Minn.; 14 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, a grandson, and two brothers.
Friends may call at Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie after 5 p.m. today.
Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with Tom Snavely officiating. Burial will be in Dogwood Cemetery.
