JACKSON -- Gerald P. Bunting, 53, of Jackson, died Friday, Oct. 29, 1993 at Jackson Manor, where he had been a patient three weeks. JACKSON -- Gerald P. Bunting, 53, of Jackson, died Friday, Oct. 29, 1993 at Jackson Manor, where he had been a patient three weeks.

He was born Dec. 9, 1939 in Briton, S.D., the son of Kenneth and Velma Haynes Bunting.

Survivors include: one son, Tommy Matthew Bunting of Tulsa, Ok.; one daughter, Kelly Dawn Bunting of Cape; two grandchildren; and a fiance, Linda Fernandez of Jackson.

He was a member of Centenary United Methodist Church in Cape, and had been living in Jackson since 1991. He taught at Franklin School in Cape Girardeau.

Funeral services will be at 7:30 p.m. today at McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson, with Rev. Neil Stein officiating. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. today at McCombs.
