COBDEN, Ill. -- Gerald M. "Jerry" Lingle, 70, of Cobden Route 2 died Sunday, June 18, 1995, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
He was born Aug. 14, 1924, in Cobden, son of Henry and Maude Nelson Lingle.
He married Lorene Clutts Aug. 18, 1949, in Anna. She survives.
Lingle was a retired schoolteacher and a farmer associated with Lingle Five Fruit and Vegetable Produce Farm, Cobden.
He was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church and an Army veteran of World War II.
Other survivors are one daughter, Donna Lingle of Galesburg; two sons, Levi and Henry Lingle, both of Cobden; two granddaughters and two great-grandchildren.
Two brothers and one sister preceded him in death.
Friends may call at Lutz and Rendleman Funeral Home in Cobden between 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. today.
Funeral service will be held Wednesday at 1 p.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Gilbert Gee officiating. Burial will be in the Cobden Cemetery.
