Gerald 'Jerry' Fadler

MARQUAND, Mo. — Gerald “Jerry” Emmett Fadler, 78, of Marquand was born on July 1, 1939, in Jefferson County, Missouri, the son of Daniel and Eva Buff Fadler. He departed earthly life Thursday, July 13, 2017, at his home.

Eleven years ago, Jerry married Vivian Martin. Jerry worked many years as a diesel mechanic. He was very successful and loved his job. He was full of life and loved to play pranks with anyone he encountered. He loved to make unique homemade objects, including walking canes, tobacco pipes, peach seed baskets, and many other things.

Besides his wife, he is survived by two sons, Roger (Lynn) Fadler of Friedheim and John (Tina) Fadler of Perryville, Missouri; one daughter, Carla (Paul) Roth of Frohna, Missouri; three stepsons, Darrell (Cheryl) Ruebel of Marquand, Larry (Jennifer) Ruebel of St. Louis and Ronald (Denise) Ruebel of Troy, Missouri; two stepdaughters, Mary (Joe) Hampson of Wentzville, Missouri, and Brenda Hyde of Bonne Terre, Missouri; and by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

His parents, two brothers and one sister preceded him in death.

He will be truly missed by all.

Graveside funeral services will be at 5 p.m. today at Moore’s Chapel Cemetery, 1178 Madison 320, Marquand, Missouri, in Madison County.
