Georgianna Bohannon

BENTON, Mo. -- Georgianna Freida Bohannon, 88, of Benton died Thursday, April 14, 2016, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.

She was born Aug. 3, 1927, in Benton to Theon Emil and Emma LeDure Robert. She married John Henry Bohannon on Sept. 4, 1948, in Benton. He preceded her in death June 7, 1993.

She was owner/operator of Bohannon Cleaners and was a member of St. Denis Catholic Church, St. Anne's Sodality, the American Legion Auxiliary and the Red Hat Society.

She is survived by two sons, Gary (Susie) Bohannon of Benton and Jeffrey (Gale) Bohannon of Scott City; a brother, Don (Bertie) Robert of Benton; four grandchildren, LaShea (John) Worley, Benji (Erin) Bohannon, Bradley (Beth) Bohannon and Rachel (Brian) O'Shea; and six great-grandchildren, Christian, Jeremiah, Isaac and Jonah Worley, Sophia O'Shea and Gregory Bohannon.

She also was preceded in death by her parents; her stepmother, Ginny Robert; and three brothers.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until time of service Saturday at St. Denis Catholic Church in Benton.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Saturday at the church, with the Rev. Michael Casteel as celebrant.

In lieu of flowers, donation can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
