Georgia R. Tidd, 97, of Jackson and Sebring, Florida, passed away Monday, Feb. 5, 2018.
She was born in northern Missouri on July 18, 1920, to George R. and Alice L. Swan McGregor. She and Gail "Lefty" N. Tidd were married Jan. 25, 1942.
Georgia was the ambassador and business manager for Lefty's square dance calling business. Square dancing enabled them to make many wonderful friends through the years.
She was an active member of the New McKendree United Methodist Church in Jackson for many years.
Georgia is survived by her three sons, Larry N. (Diane) Tidd of Jackson, Tom (Mindy) Tidd of Fort Collins, Colorado, and Greg Tidd of Mountain Home, Idaho; grandsons, Randy Tidd and Ryan Tidd; granddaughters Christina Tidd and Jillian Vogel; and great-grandchildren, Daniel and Katrina Anderson.
She was preceded in death by her husband; an infant son, Charles Preston Tidd; her parents; and five sisters.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. March 2 at Collinwood Assisted Living in Fort Collins.
She will be laid to rest next to her husband in Cape County Memorial Park Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.
