Georgia Rose Klingeman, 78, of Cape Girardeau, formerly of Scott City, died Tuesday, Jan. 21, 1992 at Southeast Missouri Hospital.
She was born Georgia Rose Applegate on Oct. 4, 1913 at Cairo, Ill. She was adopted and raised by August and Ida Sander of the Scott City area.
She married Melvin Lincoln, who preceded her in death. Later she married Pearl Klingeman. He also preceded her in death.
Surviving are sons Phillip Klingeman of Cape Girardeau and William W. Klingeman of Scott City; daughters Peggy Tinsley and Gloria Maevers, both of Cape Girardeau; a sister, Frances Prince of Hot Springs, Ark.; and 13 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one son and three brothers.
Friends may call today from 6 to 8 p.m. at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City. Graveside services will be held at Lightner Memorial Cemetery in Scott City at 11 a.m. Thursday. The Rev. Jeffrey Sippy will officiate.
