ADVANCE -- Funeral service for Georgia F. Long of Advance will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Morgan Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in Morgan Memorial Park.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 4:30-8 p.m. today.
Long, 83, died Thursday, Nov. 13, 1997, at her home.
She was born July 4, 1914, at Rombauer, daughter of George and Effie Anderson Flowers. She and Evans Long were married April 1, 1932, at Marble Hill. He died Aug. 19, 1984.
Long retired as head cook at Advance Schools. She was a charter member of New Hope, now First General Baptist Church.
Survivors include three sons, Rodney Long of Bell City, Tom Long of Houston, Texas, Fred Long of Advance; three daughters, Vivian Vanscoy of Union, Donna Myers of Pevely, Linda Stephens of Cape Girardeau; 26 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by a son, daughter, and grandson.
