Georgia Likens

Funeral for Georgia Katherine Likens of Cape Girardeau will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Grace United Methodist Church. The Revs. Anselm Williams and Jerry Statler will officiate. Burial will be in Cape County Memorial Park.

Friends may call at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Funeral Home from 4-8 p.m. today.

Likens, 87, died Wednesday, Dec. 12, 2001, at her home.

She was born Aug. 23, 1914, in Moorefield, W.Va., daughter of George and Ida Brumback Boyce. She and Claud W. Likens were married Dec. 23, 1933, in Cumberland, Md. He died in June 1964.

Likens was a member of Grace United Methodist Church and its United Methodist Women, and AARP.

Survivors include a son, Ronald Likens of Fairfield Glade, Tenn.; two daughters, Janice Eakins of Jackson, Mo., Judy Norris of Zebulon, Ga.; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by five brothers and two sisters.
