GEORGIA L. JONES

SIKESTON -- Funeral service for Georgia L. Jones of Sikeston will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Dennis Breland will officiate, assisted by the Rev. Luther George. Burial will be in Gravel Hill Cemetery near Bloomfield.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 5 p.m. today.

Mrs. Jones, 55 years old, died Sunday, April 14, 1991, at Sikeston Health Care Center.

She was born June 1, 1935, in Bell City, daughter of John and Gladys Lingle Baker. She married William Gus Surface May 23, 1953. He died Sept. 14, 1983.

Mrs. Jones had been a waitress and cook at Southside Restaurant and at Grant City Restaurant and Truck Stop.

Survivors include two sons, Marshall Surface of Valdosta, Ga., Roy Marshall of Sikeston; a daughter, Diane Moser of Sikeston; a stepson, Ron Jones of Sikeston; four brothers, Henry Baker of Bloomfield, William and Willie Baker of Chaffee, Billy Baker of Sikeston; four sisters, Mary Surface of Bell City, Alene Hess of Delta, Hazel Carroll of Sikeston, Wilma Pennington of Puxico; three grandchildren, and a great-grandson.

She was preceded in death by a brother and three sisters.
