George A. Tucker, 95, of Cape Girardeau died Sunday, May 12, 2024, at the Missouri Veterans Home.
He was born Feb. 22, 1929, in Cape Girardeau to Andrew and Edith Parker Tucker.
He and Mildred R. Callies were married Sept. 29, 1955, in Little Rock, Arkansas.
He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
George was a barber for 51 years and was a member of American Legion in Perryville.
Survivors include two daughters, Elaine (Mike) Blair of Perryville and Gayle (special friend, Jerry) Wilson of Mount Sterling, Illinois; brother, Gene (Pat) Tucker of Troy; five grandchildren, Josh (Anna) Wilson, Nicole (Brian) Wibbenmeyer, Andrew Blair, Justin Wilson and Megan (Jared) Pruden; and eight great-grandchildren.
George was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Mildred; three brothers and four sisters.
Visitation will be from noon to 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 15, at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau.
Funeral will follow at 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 15, at the funeral home, with the Rev. Eric Laffoon officiating. Burial will be at Cape County Memorial Park Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.
Memorial contributions may be given to Missouri Veterans Home in Cape Girardeau.
