CAIRO, Ill. -- George S. Elias, 80, of Cairo, died Sunday, Nov. 14, 1993, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Mo.
He was born in Mounds, son of Sam and Nora Saliba Elias. He was a retired salesman with Elias True Value in Cairo. He was a lifetime member and deacon at Cairo Baptist Church, and member of Cairo Senior Citizens.
Survivors include his wife, Billie; two sons, James Elias of Sherman Oaks, Calif., Thomas Elias of Washington, D.C.; two brothers, William Elias of Osceola, Ark., Sam Elias of Cairo; three grandchildren, and several great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two granddaughters.
Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Cairo Baptist Church. The Rev. Larry L. Potts will officiate, with burial in Green Lawn Memorial Gardens at Villa Ridge.
Friends may call at Barkett Funeral Home here after 5 p.m. today, and from 9 a.m. to service time Wednesday.
