BRADENTON, FLA. -- George Maxwell, 83, of Bradenton, formerly of Mounds, Ill., died Friday, Oct. 30, 1998, at Integrated Health Systems in Bradenton.

He was retired from Ebasco Services after many years as a materials manager. He was of the Methodist denomination.

He married Helen Shearer. She preceded him in death.

Survivors include a daughter, Lila Maxwell of Sarasota, Fla.; a brother, William Maxwell of Louisville, Ky.; and a sister, Elizabeth Martin of Blairsville, Ga.

Besides his wife, he was preceded in death by a son.

Friends may call from 9 to 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Wilson Funeral Home in Karnak, Ill.

Funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

The Rev. Joey Dunning will officiate. Burial will follow in Massac Memorial Gardens in Metropolis, Ill.
