He served in the United States Navy.

Visitation is at the Barkett Funeral Home in Cairo, where friends may call from 11 a.m. until time for services Friday. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home with the Rev. Fr. Chris Mujule officiating. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Villa Ridge. The Barkett Funeral Home of Cairo is in charge of arrangements.
