Correction:
ZALMA George Lee Davis, 87, of Zalma, died Monday, Nov. 30, 1992, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
He was born April 11, 1905, at Zalma, son of Leo and Phoebe Shirrell Davis. He and Alta Jackson were married May 12, 1928, at Zalma.
Davis was a retired farmer.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Avery Davis of Bloomfield; two daughters, Christine Jackson of Zalma, Pearlene Crites of Bloomfield; four sisters, Lola Slaughter and Ethel Ellis of Dexter, Lettie Shell of Sturdivant, Pat Gardner of St. Charles; 11 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren, and a great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by a son, three brothers and four sisters.
Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Morgan Funeral Chapel in Advance. The Rev. Jewell Phegley will officiate, assisted by the Rev. Bill Sargent. Burial will be in Brush Creek Cemetery near Arab.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 4-8 p.m. today.
