TAMMS, Ill. -- Funeral service for George Edward Kee of Tamms will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at Jones Funeral Home in Tamms. The Rev. Jim McLane will officiate, with burial in St. John's Cemetery near Dongola.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 5 p.m. Friday.
Kee, 66, died Tuesday, March 25, 1997, at Meridian Manor Nursing Home in Mounds.
He was born May 2, 1930, in Elco, son of Jesse Eugene and Donna Marie Brooks Kee. He married the former Evelyn Newell.
Kee owned Kee's IGA 16 years, and also owned Kee's Mobile Home Park near Cape Girardeau, Mo., 10 years. He was a member of Tamms Pentecostal Church.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Ron and Richard Kee of Tamms; two sisters, Donna Mathis of McClure, Betty Baldwin of Granite City; seven brothers, Jesse Kee of Granite City, Vernon Kee of Chicago, Eanos Kee of Kansas, Conrad Kee of Stanton, Denny Kee of Collinsville, Bobby Kee of Hesperia, Calif., Stanley Kee of Apple Valley, Calif.; and a granddaughter.
He was preceded in death by three brothers and a sister.
