GRAND CHAIN, Ill. -- George Inman, 66, of Grand Chain, died Monday, Oct. 30, 1995, at Western Baptist Hospital in Paducah, Ky.
He was the son of Harry and Mary Bassi Inman.
Inman served on the board of directors of Southern Illinois Electric Co-Op in Dongola, and was chairman of Southern Illinois Power Co-Op in Marion. He was a member and trustee of First Congregational Church in Grand Chain, National Farmers Organization, Illinois Farm Bureau, and former member of Century School Board, and Big Creek Drainage No. 2.
Survivors include his wife, the former Joyce Rider; a daughter, Lisa Thurston of Pulaski; two sons, George Inman II and Guy Inman of Grand Chain; his father, a brother, Charles Inman, both of Grand Chain, and eight grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his mother.
Friends may call at Wilson Funeral Home in Karnak from 6-9 p.m. today.
Funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Congregational Church, with the Rev. Ralph Kaufman officiating. Burial will be in Masonic Cemetery.
