CAIRO, Ill. -- George R. Gardner, 69, of rural Cairo died Friday, Sept. 10, 1999, at Daystar Care Center. He was born Nov. 20, 1929, at Point Pleasant, W.Va., son of Carl Andrew and Winifred Rodgers Gardner. Gardner was a retired marine surveyor. Survivors include a son, Randy Gardner of Mounds; two daughters, Angie Lincicome of Pinellas Park, Fla., Cathy Beane of Vienna, W.Va.; a sister, Osie Juniper of Point Pleasant; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren...

Gardner was a retired marine surveyor.

He was preceded in death by two brothers.

Graveside service will be held later in Point Pleasant.

Jones Funeral Home in Villa Ridge was in charge of arrangements.
