SIKESTON -- George Edward Wright, 64, of Sikeston, died Tuesday, May 21, 1991, at Missouri Delta Medical Center.
He was born Oct. 4, 1926, in Warm Springs, Ark., son of Claude and Monie Missouri Wright. He married Clara Belle Spitzer June 13, 1944, in Osceola, Ark. She died Dec. 27, 1989.
Wright was a mechanic and drove a wrecker for Satterfield's Body Shop more than 20 years.
Survivors include five sons, Wayne Wright of Bloomfield, Howard Wright and Charles Hector of Apache Junction, Ariz., George Wright of Bertrand, Bobby Wright of Aiken, S.C.; three daughters, Helen Fuller of Corsicana, Texas, Sandra McMackin of Morehouse, Brenda Smith of Sikeston; two brothers, Lester Wright of Sikeston, Lawrence Wright of Poplar Bluff; 22 grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother.
Funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Larry Emerson will officiate, with burial in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 5 p.m. today.
