COBDEN, Ill. -- Graveside service for George A. Penrod of Baltimore, Md., will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Cobden Cemetery. The Rev. Dewayne Taylor will officiate.

Lutz and Rendleman Funeral Home at Cobden is in charge of arrangements.

Penrod, 80, died Thursday, July 20, 1995, at North Arundel Hospital in Glen Burnie, Md.

He was born March 9, 1915, in Wolf Lake, son of George L. and Lydia Burtrum Penrod. He and Geneva May Ross were married July 10, 1935, at Cobden. She died June 2, 1982.

Penrod was a retired meat cutter. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy.

Survivors include a son, George Penrod of Baltimore; two daughters, Delores Hoffman of Plant City, Fla., Debra Lynn of Jacksonville, Fla., and a sister, Clara Martin.
