Genita Osborn, 76, of Dix, Ill., died Monday, May 9, 1994, at Good Samaritan Regional Health Center in Mt. Vernon, Ill.
She was born Feb. 23, 1918, in Texico, Ill., daughter of H. Angus and Edith Whitlock Harlow. She and Sterling Osborn were married Aug. 25, 1940, in Mt. Vernon.
The Osborns own and operate Osborn Funeral Home in Dix. She was a charter member of Rome Chapter 1014 Order of Eastern Star, and current member of Mt. Vernon Chapter 233 Order of Eastern Star. She was a member of Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church. Osborn was active in the Red Cross.
Survivors include her husband; two sisters, Wilma Wilt of Claremont, Calif., and Dorothy Taylor of Cape Girardeau.
She was preceded in death by a sister.
Friends may call at Osborn Funeral Home after 5 p.m. today.
Funeral service will be at the chapel at 2 p.m. Friday, with Arnold Peterson and Verneil Garren officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
