Genevieve Wiggs

JONESBORO, Ill. — Genevieve D. Wiggs, 86, of Jonesboro died Sunday, July 13, 2008, at her home.

Wiggs was born April 12, 1922, near Jonesboro, daughter of Peter Davis "P.D." and Zona Dillow. She and Virgil D. Wiggs were married Oct. 5, 1949. He died Aug. 7, 2001.

She was a member of Salem Lutheran Church. Wiggs was a salesclerk at P.N. Hirsch many years.

Survivors include a son, Gary Wiggs of Cobden, Ill.; three daughters, Sharon Toler of Jonesboro, Barbara File of Anna, Ill., Dianne Craig of Shiloh, Ill.; a brother, Leon Dillow of Murphysboro, Ill.; a sister, Deloris Landreth of Jonesboro; 11 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Rendleman and Hileman Funeral Home in Jonesboro.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. David Eidson officiating. Burial will be in Jonesboro Cemetery.
