Geneva Marjorie Nance, 81, of Whitewater died Thursday, July 27, 2006, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.
She was born April 24, 1925, at Whitewater, daughter of Roby and Carrie Ann Young Brown. She and Richard E. Nance were married Dec. 24, 1942, in Jackson. He died Aug. 19, 1993.
Nance had been a teacher at Schoenebeck and Coker schools. She was a member of Bethlehem General Baptist Church at Crump, and was a Sunday school teacher many years.
Survivors include two sons, Kenneth (Wilda) Nance of Cincinnati, Ohio, Ronald (JoAnn) Nance of Whitewater; a daughter, Pam (Roger) Baumer of Cincinnati; three brothers, Nelson (Delores) Brown of St. Charles, Mo., Jerome (Debbie) Brown of Benton, Ky., Harold (Darla) Brown of Jackson; three sisters, Della (Norvell) Blanchard of Wellington, Ill., JoAnn (Bill) Wolldridge and Shirley (Ernest) Nothdurft of Florissant, Mo.; 13 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sons, Eddie (Linda) and Donald; two brothers, John and Bobbie; two sisters, Ruth and Violet; and a great-grandson.
Friends may call at Cracraft-Miller Funeral Home in Jackson from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Joe Allen officiating. Burial will be in Stroderville Cemetery at Whitewater.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Bethlehem General Baptist Church.
