CHARLESTON, Mo. -- Geneva Moore, 69, of Charleston died Thursday, Jan. 9, 2003, at her home. She was born Jan. 19, 1933, in Charleston, daughter of Edward and Flora Bell Wilkerson Moore. Moore was a lifelong resident of Charleston and attended Lincoln School. She worked more than 25 years at Charleston Manor Nursing Center. CHARLESTON, Mo. -- Geneva Moore, 69, of Charleston died Thursday, Jan. 9, 2003, at her home.

She was born Jan. 19, 1933, in Charleston, daughter of Edward and Flora Bell Wilkerson Moore.

Moore was a lifelong resident of Charleston and attended Lincoln School. She worked more than 25 years at Charleston Manor Nursing Center. She was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church and served on the Mothers Board.

Survivors include three sons, Floyd Chappel of Charleston, Morris Chappel of Sikeston, Mo., Norman Chappel of Toledo, Ohio; four daughters, Emma Johnson, Elizabeth Murray, Sharon Chappel and Jeanette Chappel, all of Charleston.

Also surviving are five brothers, William Craven, Robert, Thomas and Leroy Moore, all of Charleston, Henry Moore of Harvey, Ill.; two sisters, Jennette Hines and Ella Moore of Charleston; 22 grandchildren; and 35 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two sons, a brother, and two sisters.

Friends may call at Sparks Funeral Home in Charleston from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday.

The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Shiloh Church, with the Rev. Larry Tarver officiating. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery.
