EAST PRAIRIE -- Funeral service for Ollie Geneva Mitchell of East Prairie will be held at 1:30 p.m. today at Shelby Funeral Chapel in East Prairie. The Rev. George White will officiate, with burial in IOOF Cemetery near Charleston.

Mitchell, 73, died Sunday, April 14, 1996, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.

She was born Nov. 29, 1922, in Marston, daughter of D.M. and Opal Childers Allen. She and Joe Mitchell were married May 24, 1941.

Mitchell was a member of Wolf Island Baptist Church near here.

Survivors include her husband; two sons, Bobby and Randy Mitchell of East Prairie; a daughter, Bonnie Blumenberg of East Prairie; two sisters, Eva Mitchell and Erlene Gaddy of East Prairie; four grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.
