Geneva Hansen, 95, of Jackson passed away Saturday, Aug. 14, 2010, at Jackson Manor in Jackson.
She was born March 3, 1915, in Dyersburg, Tenn., daughter of Marion W. and Martha E. Haney Winchester. She and Frederick Lee Hansen were united in marriage March 3, 1930, and he passed away June 28, 1999.
Geneva was a homemaker and a member of First General Baptist Church in Jackson.
Survivors include a son, Jack Wayne (Nel) Hansen of Burnsville, Minn; four daughters, Alice Filer, Jo Ann Hansen, Janet VanGennip and Kathy Wallis, all of Jackson; a brother, Max Winchester of Athol, Mass.; 12 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and 5 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two sons-in-law, Buford Filer and Dale Wallis; three brothers, Alfred, Thomas and Homer Winchester; a sister, Lillian, and two infant sisters.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Southeast Missouri Hospice or to the First General Baptist Church of Jackson.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Luther Rhodes officiating. Burial will follow in Bollinger County Memorial Park Cemetery near Marble Hill.
