CHARLESTON -- Geneva Elaine Carr, 91, of Charleston died Friday, Feb. 28, 1997, at Bertrand Nursing facility.
She was born April 24, 1905, in Charleston, daughter of H.T. and Minnie English Carr. She and Ralph Carr Sr. were married Dec. 26, 1925. He died May 12, 1981.
Carr had been a private telephone operator and a member of St. Henry's Catholic Church.
Survivors include a son, Ralph Carr of Charleston; two daughters, Mary Shrum of Charleston and Patricia Evans of Dexter; 21 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, brother, three sisters, a grandchild, and five great-grandchildren.
Friends may call at McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston from 5-8 p.m. Sunday.
Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Rich Lause officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
