LUTESVILLE -- Gene Wiley, 61, of Lutesville, died Wednesday, Jan. 2, 1991, at his home. He was born May 14, 1929, at Farmington to William and Ellen Thompson Wiley. He is survived by his mother Ellen Wiley Probst of Lutesville, one brother, Thomas Wiley of Santa Monica, Calif.; three sisters, Hattie Plouvier, Loveta Long, and Marie Pyle all of Lutesville...

LUTESVILLE -- Gene Wiley, 61, of Lutesville, died Wednesday, Jan. 2, 1991, at his home.

He was born May 14, 1929, at Farmington to William and Ellen Thompson Wiley.

He is survived by his mother Ellen Wiley Probst of Lutesville, one brother, Thomas Wiley of Santa Monica, Calif.; three sisters, Hattie Plouvier, Loveta Long, and Marie Pyle all of Lutesville.

He was proceeded in death by his father, step-father and two brothers.

He was an Army Veteran of the Korean War, and a member of the Lutesville Church of God, VFW Post 5900 in Lutesville, and the Disabled American Veterans.

Prior to retiring he worked with the Rose City Rides company.

Visitation began Saturday at 5 p.m. at the Liley Funeral Home in Lutesville.

Services will be today at 1 p.m. at the funeral home. The Rev. Frank Shanks will officiate.

Burial will follow at Bollinger County Memorial Park Cemetery, with full military honors by VFW Post 5900.
