ADVANCE, Mo. -- Gary Wayne Swinford, 60, of Advance passed away Sunday, June 19, 2016, at his home.
He was born Dec. 16, 1955, in the Smelterville area of Cape Girardeau, the son of Lester Sylvester and Blanche Lee Mandrell Swinford.
Gary was a truck driver. He attended the Full Gospel Tabernacle Church in Advance. He did cowboy re-enactments, playing the sheriff.
Gary and Sally Ann McNeely were united in marriage July 10, 1979, at Benton, Missouri, and she survives of the home.
Other survivors include four sons, Terry Swinford of Springfield, Missouri, Luke Swinford of Advance, Randy Sadler of Chaffee, Missouri, and Larry Sadler of Brownwood, Missouri; a daughter, Cintha Owens of Advance; three sisters, Fran Warren of Cape Girardeau, Phyllis Newberry of Zalma, Missouri, and Trudi Swinford of Brownwood; 18 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Jack.
Visitation will be held from noon to 1 p.m. today at Morgan Funeral Chapel in Advance.
A funeral service will follow at 1 p.m. at the chapel, with the Rev. J.D. Smith officiating.
Burial will be in Williams Cemetery at Perkins, Missouri.
