ADVANCE, Mo. -- Gary Dean Sitz, 64, of Advance died Friday, Feb. 27, 2004, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston, Mo. He was born Jan. 24, 1939, at Advance, son of Milo and Ruth Robison Sitz. He was married to Lila Friedrich. Sitz had worked at the Morgan Funeral Home in Advance and also the Advance schools for many years. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army...

ADVANCE, Mo. -- Gary Dean Sitz, 64, of Advance died Friday, Feb. 27, 2004, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston, Mo.

He was born Jan. 24, 1939, at Advance, son of Milo and Ruth Robison Sitz. He was married to Lila Friedrich.

Sitz had worked at the Morgan Funeral Home in Advance and also the Advance schools for many years. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Ron sitz of Atlanta and Donnie Sitz of Arab, Mo.; two brothers, Ray Sitz of St. Charles and Gerald Sitz of Sikeston; and three grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister.

Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Morgan Funeral Chapel in Advance. The funeral service will be at 11:30 a.m. Monday with the Rev. Norman Elledge officiating. Interment, including full military honors, will follow at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield, Mo.
