Gary Ronald Miller, 59, of Cape Girardeau died Wednesday, Jan. 5, 2000, at St. Francis Medical Center.
He was born on March 23, 1940, in Sikeston, son of Herman E. and Marjorie Lorene Parks Miller.
He married Dorothy Vandergriff on June 30, 1958, in Corinth, Miss.
He grew up in Paducah and moved to Cape Girardeau in 1970. He had been a district manager with MFA and Shelter Insurance companies and was owner/agent for Gary Miller Insurance Agency for 10 years. He also was a real estate agent with Capitol Hill Realty and had served in the Army.
He was a member of First Assembly of God Church in Cape Girardeau.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Gary R. Miller Jr. of Cape Girardeau and Gregory Miller of Jackson; two daughters, Debora Rohde of Friedheim and Carla Hedrick of Jackson; a sister, Judy Hilton of Cumberland, R.I.; and seven grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. today at Ford & Sons Sprigg Street Chapel.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Revs. Charles Lance, Blake Tiemann and Mark Graham officiating.
Entombment will be in Memorial Park Mausoleum.
