Gary Don Fann, 67, of Jackson, passed away Tuesday, July 16, 2013, at his home. He was born April 7, 1946, in Cape Girardeau, son of Charlie Floyd and Clola Mae Pulliam Fann. He and Sandra Faye Dunn were married June 9, 1979. Gary worked for 30 years at the former Lenco in Jackson and had worked as a custodian at the Jackson Post Office. In 2001, he and Sandra established Gary's Cleaning Service and worked as a team until his illness. Gary enjoyed stream fishing and deer and turkey hunting.. ...

Gary Don Fann, 67, of Jackson, passed away Tuesday, July 16, 2013, at his home.

He was born April 7, 1946, in Cape Girardeau, son of Charlie Floyd and Clola Mae Pulliam Fann. He and Sandra Faye Dunn were married June 9, 1979.

Gary worked for 30 years at the former Lenco in Jackson and had worked as a custodian at the Jackson Post Office. In 2001, he and Sandra established Gary's Cleaning Service and worked as a team until his illness. Gary enjoyed stream fishing and deer and turkey hunting.

Loving survivors include his wife of 34 years; a son, Gary Wayne Fann of Bell City, Mo.; two daughters, Paula Fann and Shauna Fann of Jackson; a stepdaughter, Michelle Beal of Marble Hill, Mo.; a brother, Paul Dean (Betty) Fann of Chaffee, Mo.; two sisters, Peggy Jean (Freddie) Garcia of St. Louis and Evelyn Niswonger of Cape Girardeau; three grandsons; and three granddaughters.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

A graveside funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Russell Heights Cemetery in Jackson, with Kenny Trantham officiating with full military honors to follow.

McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson is in charge of arrangements.
