ANNA, Ill. -- Gary L. Bittle, 52, of Anna died Tuesday, Oct. 21, 2003, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau. He was born Oct. 6, 1951, in Anna, son of Howard and Pauline Frick Bittle. Bittle attended Shawnee Community College and Southern Illinois University-Carbondale. He was a mental health technician at Clyde L. Choate Mental Health and Developmental Center. ANNA, Ill. -- Gary L. Bittle, 52, of Anna died Tuesday, Oct. 21, 2003, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

He was born Oct. 6, 1951, in Anna, son of Howard and Pauline Frick Bittle.

Bittle attended Shawnee Community College and Southern Illinois University-Carbondale. He was a mental health technician at Clyde L. Choate Mental Health and Developmental Center. He was a member of First Baptist Church.

Survivors include a son, Eric Bittle of Anna; his father of Anna; five brothers, Dean Bittle of Harrisburg, Ill., Ron and Robert Bittle of Anna, Richard Bittle of Marion, Ill., and Randy Bittle of Carterville, Ill.

Friends may call at Lutz and Rendleman Funeral Home in Anna from 4:30 to 8 p.m. Thursday.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Revs. Greg Bittle and Tim Sadler officiating. Burial will be in Anna City Cemetery.
