ANNA, Ill. -- Funeral for Gary W. Barker of Anna will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Lutz and Rendleman Funeral Home in Anna. The Revs. Larry Shacklee and Rick Boswell will officiate. Burial will be in Anna Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 6-8:30 p.m. today, and Saturday until service time.
Barker, 48, died Wednesday, June 2, 1999, at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Mo.
He was born Jan. 1. 1951, in Anna, son of Archie and Pearl Shepard Barker. He and Merlene Boswell were married June 30, 1973, in Anna.
Barker received an associate degree in radiology from Southern Illinois University. He was a member of First Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Wade Barker; a daughter, Mindy Barker; and a brother, Carroll "Sonny" Barker, all of Anna.
Also surviving are seven sisters, Shirley Hanney, Karen Smith, Janice Brown and Pam Pind, all of Anna, Shelby Brown and Sharon Green of Jonesboro, and Brenda Durham of Elco.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
