Gary Adcock

Gary Lynn Adcock, 74, of Cape Girardeau died Tuesday, Jan. 2, 2024, at Garden View Care Center in Valley Park.

He was born Aug. 22, 1949, in Sikeston to William and Lola Rettig Adcock. He and Cheryl Hicks were married Jan. 5, 1991, in Jackson.

He owned Adcock Appraisal Services.

Gary attended La Croix Church in Cape Girardeau. He was also a member of the Cape Girardeau Jaycees and Cape Girardeau Elks Lodge.

Survivors include his wife, Cheri Adcock of Cape Girardeau; daughter, Kimberley (Mark) Andracsek of Manchester; two stepsons, Bill Heller of Farmington and Tim Heller of Jacksonville, Florida; a brother, John (Brenda) Adcock of Seguin, Texas; grandchild, Brooke Andracsek of Manchester; four stepgrandchildren, Ryan (Tori) Heller of Ironton, Derek Heller of Farmington, Amber Costner of St. Louis and Tiffany Heller of Festus; and four beloved great-stepgrandchildren.

Gary was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 4, at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau.

Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 5, at the funeral home, with the Rev. Ron Watts officiating. Burial will be at Garden of Memories in Sikeston.
