Garry Wayne Price, 70, of Cape Girardeau died Tuesday, Feb. 26, 2013, at his home.
He was born Aug. 19, 1942, in Kennett, Mo., to Will and Christine Sadler Price. He and Beverly Kort were married Nov. 12, 1963, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Hastings, Neb.
A veteran of the U.S. Navy, Garry honorably served his country during the Bay of Pigs crisis.
He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church at Egypt Mills, and a lifetime member of VFW Post 3838 of Cape Girardeau. He was a truck driver more than 45 years.
Survivors include his wife, Beverly of Cape Girardeau; a daughter, Brenda Price of Cape Girardeau; a son, Brian (Wendy) Price of Hastings; four grandchildren, Zachary Vines of Cape Girardeau, Evan Price of Omaha, Neb., Kelsey Schweigert of Cape Girardeau and Austin Price of Hastings; a sister, Elaine Calhoun; a sister-in-law, Dianne Stutheit; a brother-in-law, Terry Kort, all of Hastings; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Allen Wayne Price; and a half brother, Charlie Price.
A graveside service will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Trinity Lutheran Cemetery in Egypt Mills, with Kevin Olson officiating.
Crain Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau is in charge of arrangements.
