DEXTER -- Funeral service for Garland Copley Jr. of Dexter, formerly of Sikeston Route 1, will be held at 2 p.m. today at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston. The Rev. Marvin Graham and Ted Armes will officiate, with burial in New Morley Cemetery at Morley.

Friends may call at the funeral home from noon to service time.

Copley, 72, died Thursday, Jan. 4, 1996, at Crowley Ridge Care Center.

He was born Nov. 5, 1923, in Fort Gay, V.Wa., son of Garland and Grace Perry Copley Sr. He married Dorothy Mae Reese, who died Jan. 13, 1986.

Copley was an autobody repairman and had worked at Slusher Auto Body, Jarvis Motor Co. and Sikeston Motor Co.

He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.

Survivors include two sons, Danny Copley of Wadsworth, Ohio, Dale Copley of Wooster, Ohio; three daughters, LouCinda Klipfel of Marion, Ill., Charlotte Lance and Sharon Seigley of Ritman, Ohio; a stepdaughter, Tina Dean of Orrville, Ohio; his mother of Ashland, Ohio; a sister, Susie Wilson of Ashland; five grandchildren, and three stepgrandchildren.
