CHARLESTON -- Garlan D. Morrow, 60, of Wappapello and formerly from Diehlstadt died Saturday, Oct. 1, 1994, at Lucy Lee Hospital in Poplar Bluff.
He was born Oct. 30, 1933, at Red Bay, Ala., the son of Mattie Pearl Strickland Morrow of Diehlstadt and the late Richard H. Morrow.
He had lived in Wappapello the past six years, where he was a self-employed contractor. He was a member of the New Home General Baptist Church at Poplar Bluff and a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War.
On July 4, 1953, he married Betty Naile at Bertrand. She survives of the home.
Other survivors include a son, William Morrow of Jackson; six brothers, Grover Morrow of rural Charleston, Mike Morrow of Wappapello and Roland, Ottis, Roger and Danny Morrow, all of rural Benton; five sisters, Bonnie Romanowski of Wappapello, Theresa Jones of Morley and Ritta Belt, Debra Hornback and Donna Sevic, all of Sikeston; and two granddaughters.
Visitation will begin at 6 p.m. today at the McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston.
Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Calvin Buhler and Rev. James Black officiating.
Burial will be in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery near Charleston.
