Memorial service for Gail N. "Lefty" Tidd of Sebring, Fla., will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Memorial Park Mausoleum. The Rev. Scott Lohse will officiate.
Friends may call from 1 p.m. to service time at the mausoleum.
Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
Tidd, 78, died Tuesday, Sept. 16, 1997, at his home.
He was born April 7, 1919, in Neosho Falls, Kan., son of Raymond N. and Ruth Faidley Tidd. He and Georgia McGregor were married Jan. 26, 1942, at Brookfield.
Tidd was employed by Natural Gas Pipeline 33 years, retiring as maintenance foreman in 1976. He was a square dance caller and instructor in Missouri and Florida, and member of First United Methodist Church in Sebring.
Formerly of Jackson, he was active in Boy Scouting and had been a member of New McKendree United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife; three sons, Larry Tidd of Jackson, Thomas Tidd of Bloomington, Ill., John "Greg" Tidd of Mountain Home, Idaho; a sister, Mary Savidge of Leavenworth, Kan.; and four grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, an infant son, and a sister.
