SIKESTON, Mo. -- Marilyn Gail Sexton, 56, of Sikeston died Monday, Sept. 2, 2002, at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis. She was born Dec. 3, 1945, in East Prairie, Mo., daughter of Leamon "Bud" and Opal Lyons Markland. Sexton had been a waitress at various restaurants in Sikeston. She was a member of Living Grave Fellowship Church, and had been involved with Meals on Wheels program...

SIKESTON, Mo. -- Marilyn Gail Sexton, 56, of Sikeston died Monday, Sept. 2, 2002, at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis.

She was born Dec. 3, 1945, in East Prairie, Mo., daughter of Leamon "Bud" and Opal Lyons Markland.

Sexton had been a waitress at various restaurants in Sikeston. She was a member of Living Grave Fellowship Church, and had been involved with Meals on Wheels program.

Survivors include a daughter, Krystal Chesmore of Sikeston; a stepson, Ronnie Sexton of Sikeston; a stepdaughter, Tawnya Stanley of Sikeston; two brothers, Donald and Terry Markland of Sikeston; a sister, Veronica "Ronnie" Sadler of Morley, Mo.; and five grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Friends may call at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel Thursday from 9 a.m. until time of service.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the chapel, with the Rev. Ron Sexton officiating. Burial will be in Blodgett Cemetery.
